WHAT DOES A CHIROPODIST/PODIATRIST DO?
Chiropodists (now often called Podiatrists) diagnose and treat abnormalities of the lower limb. They give professional advice on the prevention of foot problems and on proper care of the foot. Patients will be of all ages from infants to the elderly. I see many patients at high risk of amputation for example those who suffer from arthritis or diabetes.
The main aim as a Chiropodist/Podiatrist is to assess, diagnose and treat abnormalities and diseases of the lower limb.
